![]() ![]() ![]() I have GTX 1050 Ti LP OC 4GB and the minimum requirement for 4k I know is the tier lower which is the GTX 1050 3GB. If using a discrete GPU: A Nvidia Geforce GPU that meets these requirements, or an AMD Radeon RX 400 series or newer GPU.Ĭheck. This might be my only potential problem but I am using a discrete GPU so it should use that. My only scare is I have an i7-2600 Sandy Bridge so 2nd generation Core CPU. If using an integrated GPU: An Intel 7th generation Core or newer CPU, or AMD Ryzen CPU. NOTE: Every monitor connected to your computer must meet these requirements to successfully stream in Ultra HD. I have this monitor which supposedly has HDCP 2.2 and 4k 60hz. Have both and Ctrl Shift Alt D showing 1920 x 10p is playing and not 4k.Ī 60Hz 4K capable display (with HDCP 2.2 connection if external display).Ĭheck. Hopefully this changes in future but for now I think my next step and only hope is to either upgrade my PC or move houses and try another fast internet connection. Should be an option to select quality in the video player itself but oh well I guess we can't have everything good things take time great things take patience. I wish netflix would make this ability to choose 4k much more easier and straight forward like with Youtube or any other content delivery network. Very Sadface on this Christmas morning :( Yeah no clue but if anyone else is experiencing the same issue or has any idea why it can't do 4k netflix I want to know. Playing and Buffering Bitrate (a/v) is 192/2122 so audio is 192 kbps and video is 2122 kbps. So with everything ticked off including fast NBN FTTN 50/20 Unlimited Australian internet it hypothetically should do 4k videos but it doesn't.Ī quick Ctrl Shift Alt D shows it is only doing 1920 x 10p. Says at the bottom there in the description that it is HDCP 2.2 so that is all good My gpu is bare minimum it is a Galax 1050 Ti OC LP 4GB or this Still was only able to watch in 1080p unfortunately. Logged in as normal and tried some 4k known content (Lost in Space TV Show). I was able to download the Netflix app from the Microsoft Store. I was able to get the HEVC Video Extensions installed. I am watching from Australia but I am interested to know others experiences from around the globe. Is there maybe any extension or workaround that can make it force highest quality/resolution which in this case is to watch 4k ready content on pc. So I am wondering if anyone has found a way to make netflix play 4k ready content in 4k. This is for desktop mainly using a pc monitor that can do 4k 60hz but so far the only way I have found to improve the quality is to switch from chrome to microsoft edge and it seems to boost bitrate from 720p to 1080p but have not found a way to watch in 4k.Īll my hardware can do 4k youtube and other 4k content and my monitor is 4k 60hz ready. ![]()
