![]() SO I went to 4.2.00, with plans to use 00-99, which now seems to be blocking players from joining and reports a version mismatch, even though the portal has 4.2.00, and the players have my 4.2.00 mod. It's a different problem, but a good one. I realized at 4.1.9 that I probably shouldnt go to 4.1.10, since in my mind 4.1.10 is equal to 4.1.1. I'm currently thinking about modular smelting arrangements and multiple different buses. ![]() I'm going to have to rethink how I build on the macro layer. I can't see how to fix that without rethinking the entire bus (do I seriously need an 8-blue lane bus?). The yellow packs are my bottle neck at the moment, and that's because they're not getting enough copper. But even that gets exhausted by the time I get to to Yellow Science packs. I settled on a 4 copper, 4 iron bus (with red/green circuit and steel lines of course), and kept upsizing it until I was consistently filling 4 blue belts. Examination tells me that "Biter Expansion" is turned "off" when you click Railworld, and also the RSO settings seem to dial it down even further! There is just no fun in having advanced to artillery if there are no targets to shoot at ! As this is part of the fun for me (and I don't see it being fixable without a restart), this is the primary reason to bin the map and start again. They didn't spawn new bases, and their infrequent trickle attacks were so easily handled that I never felt the threat. Contact the developer for more information. Something about the large start area, RSO & Rail world combination left me with entirely ignorable biters. Very rich, very large resources (that were very far away) Poor quality, small size resources in the starting zone Im on 0.9.8, build 9400, win32, and on the second mission of New Hope the objective counter is not recognizing any inventory of my car starting care, a second car if I built one, or a train. Very sparse in a very large starting area It changes the resource spawning and makes the resource patches more spread out and better for train worlds and just generally better generated.
